Chambr ("we," "us," "our," or "Company") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application ("App").
1. Data We Collect
On-Device Data:
- Audio recordings you create
- Transcripts of your voice memos
- AI-generated summaries and notes
- Recording metadata (date, duration, category, tags)
No data collection: Chambr does NOT collect, store, or transmit any of this data to servers. Everything stays on your device.
2. How We Use Your Data
- On-device processing: Your audio is processed using Apple's on-device Speech Recognition framework to generate transcripts and summaries
- Local storage: All data is stored locally in your app's private storage
- No sharing: We never share, sell, or transmit your data
- No analytics: We do not track your app usage or behavior
3. Data Security
Your voice memos are protected by:
- iOS file system encryption (automatically encrypted by your device)
- Optional biometric lock (Face ID / Touch ID) for additional protection
- Exclusion from iCloud backup to prevent unintended cloud sync
4. Third-Party Services
Apple Speech Recognition: Chambr uses Apple's on-device SFSpeechRecognizer for transcription. Apple does not receive audio from your device. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat (Optional): If you purchase a subscription, RevenueCat handles payment processing. No personal data beyond your subscription status is shared.
5. Your Privacy Rights
Since all your data is stored on your device:
- You have full control and ownership of your data
- You can delete recordings anytime (permanently removed from your device)
- You can export your data in text format
- You can uninstall the app to remove all data
6. Children's Privacy
Chambr is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are under 13, please do not use this app.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of Chambr after updates means you accept the changes.
