Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Chambr mobile application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Chambr is a privacy-first voice memo and transcription application. It allows you to:

• Record voice memos on your device
• Automatically transcribe your audio using on-device speech recognition
• Generate summaries and extract key points
• Organize and archive your recordings

All processing occurs on your device. No audio is sent to any server.

3. Use License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Chambr for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works based on Chambr
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use Chambr for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to disable or circumvent any security features
• Distribute or sell Chambr or access to Chambr

4. User Recordings

You retain all rights to the recordings and content you create in Chambr. By using Chambr:

• You are solely responsible for the content of your recordings
• You warrant that you have the right to record audio you capture (e.g., consent of other parties if required)
• You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws regarding recording

5. Limitations of Liability

CHAMBR IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. We disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are NOT liable for data loss, corruption, or accidental deletion of recordings
• We are NOT liable for transcription errors or inaccuracies
• We are NOT liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages

You are responsible for backing up important recordings. We recommend exporting and storing critical voice memos externally.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Chambr to:

• Record or transmit illegal content
• Violate anyone's privacy or intellectual property rights
• Harass, threaten, or defame any person
• Distribute malware or harmful code

7. Subscriptions

Chambr offers optional premium features via subscription:

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You can cancel anytime in the App Store settings
• Pricing and features are subject to change with notice
• Refunds for auto-renewal charges must be requested through the App Store

8. Intellectual Property

Chambr's design, code, and user interface are our intellectual property. You may not copy, distribute, or modify them without permission.

9. Third-Party Services

Chambr uses:

• Apple Speech Recognition — Your audio is processed locally by your device. Apple Privacy Policy
• RevenueCat (optional, for subscriptions) — Limited subscription data shared for payment processing. RevenueCat Privacy Policy

We are not responsible for third-party services.

10. Limitation of Service

Chambr depends on:

• Your device's storage capacity
• Your device's processing power
• iOS updates and compatibility

We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or availability.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to Chambr if you violate these Terms or applicable laws.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Chambr means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Chambr regarding the Service.
